Mushroom Burgers
This week’s episode is about Vitamin D, also referred to as calciferol.
Vitamin D is important because:
- It helps us absorb calcium, which is needed for bone growth, bone health, and bone strength 
- It reduces inflammation in the body 
- It helps our immune function 
- It may help regulate our moods 
Sources of Vitamin D:
- The sun 
- Food (fatty fish, eggs, mushrooms, and fortified foods like milk) 
- Supplements

*I used almond flour in place of breadcrumbs. You may need to use more that 1 cup, to hold the patties together a little more if you use almond flour.
